Ultrasound mapping of varicose veins
A complete evaluation of your venous network will be performed using Ultrasound.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy involves injecting a sclerosing solution into varicose & spider veins with a fine needle. The solution irritates the lining of the vein wall, destroying the blood & causing an inflammatory reaction that collapses the vein. The venous blood flow will then be rerouted to healthy veins and the treated vein will be reabsorbed by your body.
Echosclerotherapy
This technique combines sclerotherapy with Ultrasound. Ultrasound provides direct visualization of the veins. This technique is usually reserved for the use with treatment of larger and deeper veins where direct visualization is a must for the safe delivery of medication.
Ambulatory Phlebectomy
This procedure is an outpatient procedure that removes bulging superficial veins through a small, slit-like incisions in the skin.
EVLT (Endovenous Laser Treatment)
This is an advanced technology as alternative to vein ligation and stripping surgeries of the past. EVLT is a quick, minimally invasive laser procedure done on outpatient base. There is minimal post operative scarring, as it is only laser fiber and a slim sheath that enters the vein via a tiny skin nick. The laser fiber is guided into place using Ultrasound and the procedure is performed strictly under local anesthetic – similar to that used by a dentist – to numb the treatment area. The treatment generally takes less than an hour.
