Leg vein treatment
    Consultation of varicose veins
Our staff will perform history and physical examination of your varicose veins.

    Ultrasound mapping of varicose veins
A complete evaluation of your venous network by using ultrasound will be performed.

    Sclerotherapy
This involves injecting a solution, called sclerosing agent to the varicose vein with a fine needle. The solution irritates the lining of the vein wall and cause inflammatory reaction that collapse the veins. The vein will then be reabsorbed.

    Echosclerotherapy
This technique combines sclerotherapy with ultrasound as latter one provides direct visualization. This technique is usually reserved for the use of larger and deeper vein where direct visualization is a must for safe delivery of medication.

    Compression stocking
Despite the fact it does not eliminate the veins, it will nevertheless help to reduce symptoms causing by varicose veins and slow down the progression. It is especially useful where sclerotherapy and surgery are not options due to various reasons.

    EVLT (endovenous laser treatment)
This is the latest technology as alternative to surgery. EVLT is a quick, minimally invasive laser procedure done on outpatient base. There is no post operative scarring, as it is only a probe and a slim sheath that enters the vein via a tiny skin nick.

The probe is guided into place using ultrasound and the procedure is performed strictly under local anesthetic - similar to that used by dentist - to numb the treatment area. The treatment generally takes less than an hour.

      Here's what to expect
      1) Your doctor uses ultrasound to map out your vein.
      2) Local anesthetic is applied.
      3) A thin laser fiber is inserted through a tiny entry point (usually near the knee).
      4) Laser energy is delivered to seal the faulty vein.
      5) Your normal day activity is then resumed. In fact, walking immediately after the procedure is encouraged (just avoid rigorous activities).

      The key benefits of EVLT.
      - No hospitalization
      - No general anesthesia
      - No scars
      - Only a local anesthetic is needed
